CULTURE IN THE RURAL WORLD
The Potries Music Fest was born in 2018 when the small town of Potries was declared Valencian Cultural Capital, with the intention of bringing quality proposals to the local and visiting public, which are usually only accessible in the cities.
The aim is to democratize culture and music among the rural population, strengthening cultural activity as an engine of change, dynamization and social transformation. The Potries Music Fest aims to assert the effort that so many rural villages make to ensure that their cultural rights are guaranteed, from the balance between the approach of the culture of the city to which there is no easy access and the vindication of the culture of the people and their seal of quality.

INTERCULTURALITY
The Potries Music Fest aims to be a meeting of intercultural character that combines music with the Mediterranean essence of the town where it is held, both from the point of view of heritage, environmental and ethnological.
The varied offer of musical performances that is proposed unites very diverse musical styles and with origins from all over the world. In addition, on some occasions, other artistic disciplines are incorporated into the program, such as plastic arts (ceramics), literature (poetry) or the interpretation of the architectural heritage from where some of the festival's scenic spaces are located.

HERITAGE AND GASTRONOMY
Music is our common thread that combines heritage and ethnological elements, such as traditional gastronomy, building a proposal that brings added value to other similar events. Among the proposals of the festival you can find activities related to local gastronomy or the traditional craft of pottery, as well as the discovery of buildings and spaces of local heritage.
